Key Laboratory of Artificial Structures and Quantum Control

Relying on condensed matter physics national key disciplines in Physics Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and centering on the fundamental science in the field of artificial structures and quantum control which is the international hot topic of the great frontier in science and technology, the laboratory is dedicated to the design, fabrication and assembly, characterization and application of the exotic properties, quantum process control, prototype devices, and its theoretical analysis of artificial structures. The laboratory is carrying out innovation researches on new methods of construction of artificial structures, new theories of total quantum mechanism, new approach to quantum process control, new types of quantum structures and devices. The laboratory strives hard to resolve some long standing bottleneck of technology and method in the theoretical approaches of artificial structure system and measurement techniques with high space/time/energy resolution, and to get some leading research achievements on the basic physical principle and process of fabrication, assembly and control of structure system and on the discovery of new novel quantum phenomenon and effects. And the laboratory also aims to design and present a variety of prototype devices based on quantum control mechanism.
