The ability of control of electron and photon will directly promote the development of information technology. The goal of this lab is to satisfy the requirement of a new generation of optoelectronic, microelectronics and information science and technology, to combine the need of the state and the frontier of subject, to solve the problems in electronic/photon structure of artificial system and its quantum control, to create the excellent environment of artificial structure and quantum control, which will hold a place in the competition of international science and technology. Here we have five specific directions:
(1) Computer study and structure design of physical properties of artificial material;
(2) Semiconductor quantum structures and quantum control;
(3) Mechanism and growth control of high temperature superconducting material;
(4) Quantum phenomenon and control in surface and interface;
(5) Theoretical research in small subsystem of condensed matter physics.
Around the subject of artificial electronic/photon structure, the five research directions have some main lines, such as design structure, preparation and assembly of system, optical, electrical and magnetic test, design of prototype device, quantum process control and theoretical analysis. Towards the destination of creating new effects and methods of quantum control in artificial electronic structure and artificial photon structure, the five directions are promoted and developed mutually, which support the development in future information science technology and quantum control.
